We are thrilled to announce that our organization is a partner in the upcoming project “A Cultural Case: Sports,” which will take place in Klagenfurt, Austria from 14–22 September 2025. This project is designed to emphasize that sports are more than just individual physical activities—they are a powerful cultural force that brings communities together.
50 youth workers from Turkey, Spain, Hungary, Netherlands, and Austria will gather for 9 days to explore the cultural aspects of sports, discover traditional games, and reshape how young people perceive sports.
Project Goals:
Encourage youth workers to approach sports from a cultural perspective
Introduce traditional sports that are on the verge of being forgotten to young people
Highlight the influence of culture on sports
Promote youth participation in sports and raise awareness on gender equality
What Will Happen?
Each morning will begin with a 30-minute Zumba session to energize participants and strengthen group motivation and communication
Participants will be informed about the Erasmus+ program and the Youthpass certificate through presentations and interactive games
Each country will have a special day to introduce their own traditional sports, giving everyone the chance to experience a variety of cultural sports
Throughout the project, participants will design creative objects using recyclable materials and take part in short daily clean-up activities to raise awareness about environmental protection
After the Project:
Youth workers will develop a broader perspective on sports and culture
The importance of traditional sports will be communicated to wider audiences
Young people will build stronger habits related to sports
Erasmus+ will become more recognizable among local communities
Partner organizations will become role models in the field thanks to the project outcomes
Additionally, the project will produce posters, brochures, and social media content to ensure visibility both locally and internationally.
From 14–22 September 2025 in Klagenfurt, this meaningful and multidimensional project will allow youth workers to explore the cultural side of sports, engage with forgotten traditional games, and act with environmental consciousness.
As an organization, we are incredibly excited to be a partner in such a valuable initiative.
